The CFL Ottawa Alumni Association is gearing up for one of the most meaningful reunions in our city’s football history. This summer, alumni from every era of Ottawa’s CFL teams are invited to gather for the Ottawa Redblacks’ Legacy Game on July 31, 2026, when the Redblacks host the Montreal Alouettes at TD Place. The game anchors a weekend filled with celebration, connection, and recognition—an opportunity for players, families, and fans to honour the legacy of Ottawa football.

This year’s reunion is especially significant, marking four major milestones in our shared history. It is the 10th anniversary of the Redblacks’ unforgettable 2016 Grey Cup championship, the 50th anniversary of the Ottawa Rough Riders’ 1976 Grey Cup victory, the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Ottawa Rough Riders, and the 90th birthday of the legendary Russ Jackson. Few cities in the CFL can match that depth of history, and this summer offers a rare chance to celebrate it all together.

The day will also feature the CFL Ottawa Alumni Association’s Annual Golf Tournament, making July 31 a full day of camaraderie and connection.
Learn More about our golf tournamentBefore kickoff, alumni and their guests will be invited to a special pre‑game reception, followed by on‑field recognition during the Legacy Game. It will be a moment to honour the players who built Ottawa’s football identity—those who wore the Rough Rider, the Renegade, and the Redblacks crest with pride.

More details will be announced soon, including information on discounted hotel rooms for out‑of‑town alumni and guests. The Redblacks will once again provide complimentary game tickets to all alumni attending the reunion. With so many reasons to celebrate and so many teammates returning to the capital, this promises to be one of the most memorable alumni gatherings Ottawa has ever hosted.
