Alumni from every era of Ottawa’s CFL teams are invited to join us for the July 31, 2026 Ottawa Redblacks Legacy Game against the Montreal Alouettes—a weekend celebrating connection, camaraderie, and the rich history of Ottawa football.
This summer’s gathering carries special meaning, as it brings together several landmark moments in Ottawa football history. We’ll be honouring the 10th anniversary of the Redblacks’ 2016 Grey Cup triumph, the 50th anniversary of the Rough Riders’ iconic 1976 championship, and an incredible 150 years since the founding of the Ottawa Rough Riders. Adding to that, we have the privilege of celebrating Russ Jackson as he marks his 90th birthday. It’s a rare convergence of milestones—one that few CFL cities could match—and an ideal moment for our alumni to come together in recognition of a truly remarkable legacy.
Below is a quick overview of each event and how to confirm your attendance:
1. CFLOAA Annual Golf Tournament — July 31
Start the day with the CFL Ottawa Alumni Association’s annual Golf Tournament, a great chance to reconnect before the evening festivities.

2. Legacy Game vs. Montreal — July 31
The Ottawa Redblacks are offering complimentary tickets for all alumni plus one guest. To request your tickets, please email Dan Dever:

3. Pre‑Game Reception — July 31
Before kickoff, alumni and guests are invited to a special pre‑game reception. It begins at 6:00PM and features appetizers and beverages. Alumni who pre-register will be provided with commemorative jerseys compliments of the Redblacks and invited to participate in an autograph session on the stadium concourse at halftime. 4. Wrap‑Up Alumni Lunch — August 1
Join us for a CFLOAA‑sponsored alumni lunch on Saturday, August 1, from 12:00–2:00 PM at Hometown Sports Grill (1525 Bank Street). It’s the perfect final chance to reconnect with teammates from every era. Let us know you’re attending using the survey link below*.
